Description
The WASAN-OFS-EP01 is an earth pressure sensor based on optical Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensing technology. The WASAN-OFS-EP01 employs pressure sensitive conversion film and a second temperature compensation FBG to ensure absolute and accurate pressure measurement in civil engineering.
With a corrosion-resistant and high-strength steel package this sensor possesses excellent resistances to soil acid and alkali corrosion and side pressure. The WASAN-OFS-EP01 includes a second FBG which provides active temperature compensation, which enables absolute and accurate strain measurement.
The WASAN-OFS-EP01 employs the optical device packaging method specific to WASAN-series sensors to ensure the long-term sensing stability and the ability to measure both static and dynamic pressures. The sensor possesses wide applications due to the customizable measurement range. Single ended design and low bending loss support remote measurement even if kilometers apart.
The typical installation of WASAN-OFS-EP01 is embedded installation, the bearing surface should be perpendicular to the direction of the measured pressure. Armored cable makes fiber protection fast and easy during measurement.
